The Extron RGB 198 is a universal, analog computer-video and audio interface with two unswitched AC outlets, openings for up to four MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plates, and DDSP?. It allows computer-video resolutions up to QXGA to be converted for output to projectors and flat panel displays. It also accepts unbalanced computer stereo audio and converts it tobalanced, line level stereo or mono audio. The Extron Digital Display Sync Processing or DDSP technology allows the sync signal to pass through without altering sync pulse or width. The RGB198 is ideal for use in applications that require signal amplification and sync processing to ensure compatibility between many different types of displays and computer-video signal sources found in classrooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms.

The Extron RGB 198 is a universal, analog computer-video and audio interface with two unswitched AC outlets, openings for up to four MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plates, and DDSP?. It allows computer-video resolutions up to QXGA to be converted for output to projectors and flat panel displays. It also accepts unbalanced computer stereo audio and converts it tobalanced, line level stereo or mono audio. In addition, the RGB198 interface features a buffered local monitor output and ID bit termination. Level and peaking as well as horizontal shift controls can be accessed via the front panel.
The 1U high, three quarter rack width enclosure is specifically designed for under-table and rack-mountable installations.

Buffered local monitor output
DDSP? - Digital Display Sync Processing, DIP switch-selectable — Allows the sync signal to pass through without altering sync pulse or width. Disables other sync processing features such as horizontal and vertical centering.
Two-position level/peaking control — Boosts and equalizes video signals to compensate for signal loss and high frequency attenuation that occur in long cable runs.
Horizontal shift control — Shifts the displayed image left or right on the display screen. Also called "horizontal centering".
Active PC audio to balanced audio interfacing — Converts computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced line level stereo audio for output on a captive screw connector.
Selectable stereo or summed mono audio output
Mounts under table, podium, or other flat surface — Mounting brackets provided; also available optional through-desk mounting kit, or mounts in 1U rack space using optional rack shelf.
Openings for up to four MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plates — Extron MAAPs are compact mountable metal plates that provide pass-through connectors and control modules to maintain a clean and efficient AV system design. MAAPs sold separately.
