Barco's Programmable Blanking kit is a special option for all Barco LCD Light-Valve projectors equipped with a built-in Pixel Map Processor, which allows to blank a random pattern anywhere in the projected picture.
The blanking pattern can be circular or rectangular, or combination, in any size, and can be inserted in any place on the screen. This blanking option is particularly used in specific applications, including:
-Opera houses: part of the PC software image is blanked, so the audience only sees the required part
-Circular projection in domes
-In simulation applications: part of the image which is reflected by the cockpit is blanked.
