EOS is a range of controlware designed to control the OverView, Atlas or Cyclops solutions. The multiscreen capability allows you to operate video walls of any size as one logical display with any number of pixels. For multimedia applications a set of expansion cards and VISUPlus offer a wide variety to display all kind of video and RGB signals in excellent quality. EOS is available as Windows?2000 or Windows NT? workstation as well as X.11 Terminal and suits therefore to your specific needs.
Scalable solutions exactly meet your needs
With EOS Compact, EOS Power and EOS Ultra each Barco video wall can be controlled according to your requirements.
EOS can be controlled by Barco’s sophisticated Control Room Management Software.
If the Barco video wall should be extended, EOS can be scaled accordingly and is therefore the right investment for the future.
High performance graphics output
EOS supports latest PC-standards. Universal and easy integration into existing computer networks are guaranteed.
Barco's e-Maintenance enables internet based maintenance of EOS.
Optimal display of video and RGB data
Video and RGB-Input Cards digitize analog signals and integrate them in the displayed information.
VISUPlus displays video and RGB data in brilliant colors and without any impact on the performance of EOS.
Digital imaging devices are controlled digitally. Digital data transfer is immune to electromagnetic interference and therefore ensures the video wall picture to be displayed in absolutely distortion free image quality.
For analog imaging devices an analog output is available.

Operating systems
EOS supports Windows NT/2000 as well as X Window System. Therefore EOS can easily be integrated in existing systems and put into operation with least effort.
Windows NT/2000
The display is operated as one giant Windows NT/2000 desktop.
No software modifications are necessary to display Windows NT/2000 applications.
All applications can be operated by the local keyboard or under Windows NT remotely by any other Windows 95/98/NT/2000 computer (with optional software)
Powerful Windows NT/2000 drivers tuned for large multiscreen video walls.
X Window system
Supports all X.11 R6 compatible operating systems.
Conforms to the internationally standardized X.11 protocol definition for the X Window System.
For all X clients unrestricted use of the entire display area is possible
The FullColor Card enables the X.11 Server to display two color modes simultaneously, e.g. 8 bit application / 16 bit video.
Allows integration of NT applications running on any network PC via Windows NT TSE.

Wall management software
Barco's Wall Mangement Software allows for remote as well as for local applications the management of the video wall in a user-friendly way. The layout of all windows can be determined and controlled dynamically. EOS operated as X-Terminal can be managed by Osiris, or if operated as Windows NT/2000 workstation it can be managed by Apollo.

Remote Pointer gives the ability to manipulate objects on the display wall with the local mouse and keyboard.

VISUPlus
The Video Insertion Unit VISUPlus offers the possibility of integrating video and RGB information into the windows of a large display wall. VISUPlus displays video and RGB data with 16,7 million colors. With one device, up to four sources can simultaneously be displayed.
